Svegliati E Uccidi OST LP – Ennio Morricone (1985)

IMHO one of Morricone/ Nicolai’s finest works is the 1966 soundtrack to the Carlo Lizzani gangster movie starring Robert Hoffmann, Lisa Gastoni and Gian Maria Volontè. A both somber and illuminating score with arrangements by Bruno Nicolai, from spy jazz to melancholic themes with that particularly volatile tension, check the dramatic and beautiful opening track “Una Stanza Vuota” sang by Gastoni herself. This is the rare 1985 limited reissue on RCA Italiana.
