Sapho OST LP – Georges Garvarentz (1983)

The Japanese were true fans of soundtracks. It’s the only country in the world that much dedicated to issue rare and obscure music from other countries. Especially soundtracks. This one is no exception, originally released in 1970 in France, “Sapho” was also released in Japan in the early eighties. A superb soundtrack featuring singers Seda Aznavour and David Alexander Winter. The music by Georges Garvarentz, explores different genres and includes the killer sitar funk “Nues dans l’eau“.
