Revolver OST LP – Ennio Morricone (1977)

Another elusive Japanese issue in the form of this somber and dark soundtrack by Il Maestro Ennio Morricone. “Revolver” was originally released in ’73 in Italy and “naturally” got its issue in Japan a few years after. Produced around the same time, the music is very similar to “Citta Violenta”‘s, with thorough use of acid and wha guitars, organ, and sinister chords to create a bleek and moody atmosphere. There are a couple of shake numbers and the opening title “Un Amico” was used in Q. Tarantino’s “Inglorious Basterds”.
