Identical reissue of this great traditional versus jazz and funk 1976 output by genius jazz composer and band leader Kiyoshi Yamaya. This lesser-known LP is focused on Kyoto’s minyou songs also reworked with superb arrangements by the master. Musicians include the legendary koto master Toshiko Yonekawa and shakuhashi player Kifu Mitsuhashi. A powerful yet mystical LP that delves deep into folk themes of the Kansai region with that particular funky edge.
