SOLD – Akira Ishikawa LP – Guts Drums (1970)

This LP by legendary Japanese drummer and band leader Akira Ishikawa is one you don’t see that often. Probably backed by The Gentures or early Count Buffaloes, the music is a mix of jazz, funk, bossa and blues with of course an emphasis on drums. As usual, expect drum breaks, loops and sampling material on this instrumental LP.
