Nobuo Hara and His Sharps & Flats LP ‎– Big Band Congress (1976)

This LP contains big band versions of American Jazz classics. The legendary Nobuo Hara and His Sharps & Flats formation is a 17-member big band formed in 1951. It helped to make jazz popular in Japan after World War II.

The LP “‎Big Band Congress” was recorded in 1969 and 1970, this is the 1976 reissue of the Master Sonic Columbia Series. It’s worth mentioning arrangements by Masahiko Satoh and Oliver Nelson.
