This album focuses on the Oiwake traditional song style. Being the most popular of the min’yo repertoire, It features songs from all over Japan in places where fishermen and sea-workers needed inspiration and comfort to carry on the labour.

Traditional, the music is interpreted by a singer accompanied by shamisen (Japanese luth), shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and taiko (drum), and sometimes other instruments too.
