SOLD – David McCallum 7′ – Uptight / The Edge (2018)
Scottish actor David McCallum (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), also released some music, recording some albums for Capitol Records with producer David Axelrod. Like both tracks from this single taken from his 1967 album “Music : A bit more of me”.
The A side is a great flute-led version of the Stevie Wonder classic and the B side is an Axelrod composition. The latter is instantly recognizable as it was sampled twenty years ago by Dr Dre on his 2001 LP.
