Makai Tenshoh OST LP – The Universe Players (1981)

Excellent fusion funk and disco soundtrack to the Japanese ghost movie which title can be translated as Demon World Reincarnation or Samurai Reincarnation. The main musicians are guitarist Goro Takahashi and bamboo flautist master Hozan Yamamoto. They both composed and arranged this cult album released on Teichiku in 1981. The spooky movie was directed by King Fukasaku (Battle Royale) and starred Kenji Sawada (The Tigers), Toei legend Sonny Chiba and Akiko Kana.
